Turning crankshaft after replacing timing belt by hand

I replaced my timing belt and tried to turn it by
hand to rotate my engine to align everything and it
will not rotate

Good compression will be hard to turn by hand. And hopefully you didn't fall victim like I did. I didn't relize in order to set time correctly you have to make sure the n° 1 piston is TDC. And the crank is on dot . Then set ever cam gear into position and let the hydrolic pin loose. After that hand cranking slowly one full turn to see if all timing marks are online. Also to and don't make a mistake like I did, do a compression leak test. That will tell you if a cylinder issue due to valve being bent or bad rings

Check that cams and crank are on proper marks. If not you will bend valves just by turning by hand. Remove spark plugs during this procedure to relieve compression and motor will easily turn by hand.
