Question type: Car Customization

I bought a 1999 Mitsubishi sl. 3.0 24 valve
motor. I was wondering if the motor could
handle me putting twin turbos.   Or will i only
be able to youse one turbo ?

I would keep it as a single turbo, twin would work but Its allot of torque for the engine...

The problem everyone keeps doing over and again is upgrading a cars Muscle without having the body (Chassis) to handle it. You can install quads but what good would that do if the car ROARS and might even go but the frame is standing in the same place where it was originally including the dazed driver. For T/T or just one big 15-18G Turbo you need to upgrade your drive terrain FIRST then think about Slurbing your car. 3KGT are heavy cars and the transmission is nothing legendary especially the 5spd. I owned a VR4 and an SL the best upgrade for an SL is K&N or equal air filter sticky 'n slick Yokohama's Z rated if you must Nitto but Yoko's displace heat better when your hauling a tank at 150+mph and last but not least very well optimized ECU if you have money to BLOW the last feasible option to try and achieve a rumbling exhaust note so my choice for CAT is BORLA! My SL peaked at 285 with 89 gas 92 plus additive closer to 300 thats TankHP. You have the 99 model so the engine you have is not the original 3000 TwinCam that ZX, RX, Supra and Mitsu fans *were* excited about. If memory serves me right 99 dropped HP from 222 to 217 unless you have the holy-grail 99VR4 (without that hideous spoiler). Second best option sell your 99SL and by 97-98VR4 but then again if you have 15k to spare (you might get 7k for your SL?) OkiDoki Rant finished..
