Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car started making a really loud knocking noise
when driving and at stop lights  people turn to look
cause its that loud. A week prior to the noise had
an oil change, rotors, breaks, alignment, new tires.
I've since parked the car. A house mechanic said it
needs a new motor because it was overfilled with
oil.  Please help

So you had your car's oil changed and not once bothered to pull the dipstick to see if the dummies at the oil change place put the correct amount of oil in it? Expensive lesson! Always check the oil after an oil change, always.
