Need to know what wrong with my car..

I have a 2004 mitsubish lancer with 204
thousand miles..  So my car will start up and
drive about a block.. Then it will start
slowing down ( drives slow) then cuts off..
What could this be..? I know i need a tune
up.. But what else could this be..

have you had the timing belt done on the car if the timing belt tensioner is weak you might hear a ticking sound coming from motor it could be loud but if it starts to make a clocking noise like a knock- knock noise as it loses power you will need some timing belt work done if not have you changed the coil packs spark plugs and wires check into that also or there might be a bad positive connection on the battery yes it's possible if you have aftermarket terminals because my 02 Lancer has aftermarket terminals but I do have the positive side inline fuse which was designed for the car on there I have seen cars without it and they have more battery issues than anything I've ever seen so if you don't have the plastic peace on the positive side and has a fuse inside of it which also screws to the battery terminal and holds two other wires that may be the problem for power loss or check the alternator have it tested
