Need to know if it cycles, on/off time,or does it run continuous. Need to know how it was last serviced. does it have atc or eatc? for a climate control system? Then what is the result of a system self test ? You could have the wrong amount put in there, you could have a malfunction electronically. Or a sensor out of range, or an actuator stuck or jammed blenddoor. What are the settings at the present time for a perf. test, and does it change when you make changes to it ? It is easier to show it to a tech and talk it over. He can inspect a few things during a perf test and some places run a special........Of course, the Ford or Lincoln dealer has the most experience and fastest answers.

Lots of discussions about the blend door, how it's replaced by pulling the dash, or glove box, if that's what it is. Does one compressor hose get cold, and the other one hot? Has the refrigerant all leaked out? You need more tests.

it wouldnt run if it all leaked out. the switch for low pressure would open. yes blend door actuators get stuck, but sensors can tell it to do the wrong thing when out of range. yes, a complete performance test and series of physical inspections takes a 1/2 hour at the Ford garage. adding gauges or other tests can add time.
