if I could afford it I would trade in my 30 day old crv and find a vehicle with a cd player. 73 years old and do not need this frustration. health is not good. will not live long enough to get another car. if I did number one would be a cd player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, most places won't recommend changing that radio and likely won't have the parts. The simplest solution would be using a portable cd player and a Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver. It would pair with your stereo through bluetooth and plug into the portable cd player through the 3.5mm headphone jack. No offense but the guy is 73 and just wants to play cd's. It'll cost $100 minimum to replace his radio with a basic aftermarket and that doesn't include installation cost. All he really needs is a computer and time. Just rip all the cd's to a computer and copy them to a usb flash drive. I was trying to keep it simple.

I do not have the time or patience to rip the CDs I borrow from the library and listen while driving, nor do I have the time to rip my own large collection of CDs to an MP3 drive. Honda has got this one totally wrong, the CR/V needs a CD player. A CD player is a necessarily for me and I think, for many others too.
Cars these days areen't equipped with plug and play single DIN head units so you're tottaly uninformed and have no credibility to offer advice on this.

There are plenty of USB/Bluetooth CD players for this very reason...
