i have a copied key for my car, and i am wondering if this would cause car not to start?

my car started fine yesterday with the original,but now with the copied key it started twice and shut down twice.......and now wont turn over.

anti-theft key chip..................figured it out myself....thanks any

also. if you use your keyless entry remote, lock then unlock the doors, it will reset the chip and your car will start. found that out on my own, as well.
