Your Lincoln has an airbag type of suspension. Sounds like one of the bags blew out. You will need to have it replaced for the car to sit up and handle properly. You can also replace the airbag system with a spring type designed to replace the air system but you will need to do both sides of the rear at once. The good news is you will not have another airbag problem again if you are going to keep the car a long time.

That answer is just about word-for-word what I would have answered hdhautogallery..all I can do is say I agree and click helpful, so ghost, listen to that it's good advice..but to add: new air bladders-installed--$1,200. Coil springs--$500 installed
