2016 engine light comes on power goes down to 20 miles an hour

When the engine light comes on (and engine goes into limp mode) you are setting OBD trouble codes. Any shop or parts place can read these codes (most auto parts store do this for free) and tell you what the actual problem is. Limp mode limits engine RPM to keep it from destroying itself, so you may have a serious problem that needs to be addressed right away. Don't drive it until you get codes read and figure out what the problem is or you may end up costing yourself a new engine.
