Replacing factory horn '15 Rogue

Asked by BillyBatz Oct 20, 2015 at 09:45 AM about the 2015 Nissan Rogue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm replacing the factory horn with after market for lower tone. Very simple,
however, with either horn totally disconnected and removed, the horn still
beeps. I discovered this while replacing with the "low note" and still heard the
high pitched factory horn. Are there 2 horns that I don't see? Or an electronic
one?

Typically there are two horns that play at the same time, to make it louder. Every one that ive seen has both horns very close together, sometimes even on the same bracket, follow the wires back from the horn that you can see, and it should split in two, one up to the fuse box and one to the second horn.

Thanks. I've already done that, but I'll double back and report.

Another high tone horn located inside the left wheel fender well...hard to get it. I have the same problem with my 2015 Rogue...I left it as it was hard to remove.
