I purchased a used 2015 model and drove home 900 miles trouble free. 4 miles from home the abs light, power steering light, ESC service warning, air bag warning, service hill holder warning.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Take it to a nearby Fiat dealer for service. I hope you don't find out the hard way that FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tony. Those little cars have more than their share of trouble.

I'm going through the same thing, but not quite as bad. The car can be "oversensitive" and set off lights. There are TSB's for most of them, and a Fiat service center will have to reflash the computer. They DON'T reflash the computer unless you specifically ask them to do it and tell them why. Head to the nearest car parts store or service station. Ask them to read the stored codes so you know what sensors are acting out. They could be reading a one time glitch, and go off. ABS/ESC/Hill start could be the brake light switch. Power steering would be obvious if it wasn't working. I never had the airbag light come on (so far). The point is one light can flick on others. It makes no sense and it's aggravating. From what I understand. if they aren't flashing, it just means some sensor, somewhere, read a fault and stored the code. If they are flashing, something is failing.

I want to update my previous answer since I've been through this. Head straight for the ECU behind the battery. The plugs/wires come loose. The sensors may be fine but since the connection is intermittent you'll get errors as if the sensors are indicating problems. Worse, it's damp/rain sensitive area. Now add that the Sport rides very stiff to the problem. One of the symptoms is warning lights coming on in the rain. When I saw an "Icy Road" warning come up on a summer day, in the rain, I knew it was wiring. Either loose connectors or an intermittent short. Truth be told, after two years of tracing this problem, and endless visits for warranty service, I gave up on the car and traded it in.
