Why did my ford fusion 2014 alarm go off RANDOMLY?

My moms ford fusion 2014 car alarm
went off. No one was breaking in, no
one hit the "panic button". It went off
for about 5 seconds when my
mothers friend car (Taurus) car alarm
went off as well... It was really weird
and I would like some help

First i have to say,they may have not liked each other,and when you separated them did they calm down?
