It has been -23 for quite a few days. Car was plugged in, but didn't drive it. When I got in the air bag light was flashing. Airbag for passenger side said off. Both status changed after I had derived a couple of blocks. Did not go far. When I came back out to start car, it started fine, but steering felt like it was no longer power steering. Very very hard to turn wheel. Was like this for about a minute, then all was fine. WHY????

Just a guess but at that temperature the power steering fluid has probably congealed and can't do its job. Once the car warms up a bit the fluid started flowing.

Or ice or fluid on the serpentine belt or under the hood. Yup -23 is pretty darned cold.

That is a real HEATWAVE. It was 60 here in southern Kansas today, but ice is on the way for the weekend.
