Location of Cigarette lighter fuse for my 2012 ford escape

I tried plugging my phone into the cigarette lighters
but it's not working. Where is the fuse located and  
what do they call a cigarette lighter on the firs
escspe

Refer to the owner's manual. If you don't have one get one at www.helminc.com

The cigarette lighter on my 2005 ford escape only works if the car is started and engine is running. Then you hold the lighter in for a few seconds and it gets hot. Not sure of other year fords. Therefore, you should not plug your phone into the lighter receptacle... it will not charge if engine is off. Use the Aux port next to shifter which provides full time power on or off.

It is in slot 24. Look a few slots down. It should be a yellow 20 amp fuse.
