Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I put a spare set of wheels on the car with snow tires, do I have to do anything special because of AWD?

If the the wheels are about the same year, you might have to do a relearn for the TPMS. Or your low tire pressure light will stay on. The relearn procedure is in your owners manual.

Do you mean you have a tire pressure sensor on your wheels now and your wondering what will happen if you buy another set of wheels specifically for the winter the sensor is removable so whomever is changing the wheels will have to take the sensors out of your other wheels or you can just buy 4 additional sensors.

On these newer models the TPMS sensor is part of the valve stem and I do not believe you can uninstall and reinstall this type, Luckily the used rims do come with the sensors if they are of the same newer years should be ok

Thanks to all three people that answered. Between all three answers, I have a fairly complete (and better) understanding of how to proceed.
