Please just get a hot cup of water or put something over your handle so this doesn't happen again

Cheap Korean crap. You can buy a deicer spray at your local auto parts store.

For the 6th time I am going to have to take my sonata in to get another door handle fixed. I noticed the gentleman earlier said that it seems to be when it's cold and that's kind of funny because I have notice it always seems to happen when it's really really hot. I live in South Texas and there's a lot of hot in South Texas

I have noticed it in the winter if you rain and snow together. It freezes the door to the car. What I have doing if there is snow clean the car off. Then go around the door with the ice scraper.Open the door very gently.Start the car put the heat on.Let it warm up.I open each door very very easily.Since then the ice issue is gone.

I’m in Florida and on my 5th broken door handle. It has nothing to do with temperature, just cheap plastic. I am the only person who uses my car! No kids etc... just ridiculous!

If you look up the recall for this year make model it's a very common issue. I did find a video on how to replace the driver interior door handle on YouTube.
