I have a 1997 ford ranger 4x4 automatic, what do I need to do to pull it behind my motorhome

Do I have to do anything to the transmission to flat tow my ranger

if the wheels are on the ground the drive shafts should be pulled , thats a good idea for 2 wheel drive but I don't know if it's practical for you
