Horn not working

Asked by Uwillfall Jun 23, 2017 at 07:27 PM about the 1993 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My horn doesn't click, make any sounds or react when I
push the buttons. Does anyone have an idea as to
whether it is an electrical issue or
replacement/maintenance issue.

Note: The SRS light is lit up and the there is a green
adapter disengaged on the right side of the steering
wheel.
I will upload a picture for clarity if some one can help me.

I think your clock spring needs replacement my friend. It would require pulling the steering wheel off. If so your going to need a breaker bar to do so. Not fun. Not sure on the reset for the SRS perhaps you might luck out after replacement.

Ah man, so I probably shouldn't mess with it myself being that I'm novice and I could deploy the air bag if not careful. Also, idk if it means anything relative to the first issue but I changed the bulbs in my reverse lights and they're not turning on. My left headlight also won't turn on. My 12V lighter port also worked and then burned out simultaneously. Idk if that's coincidence, a problem with fuses or the electric is shot and I need some one to give my car an all around look through.

Lighter is a fuse under dash. Horn has a ground wire so that when you press the horn it engages. It is possible that the ground connection came loose. Also under the hood has a fuse box and there you will find the horn fuse.as for the reverse lights they too are fused under the hood or driver side underdash.. Have you checked the blinker fluid??.... just kidding...lmao...headlights are on individual fused on some cars not sure of yours but that's either a blown light or fuse. Fuses are 1) under hood 2.) Under driver side under dash,to the left driver side. You should have a fuse cover and it will shoe you where the cig.lighter ,lights, etc...hope you get it fixed.
