ignition spark
took 1999 odyssey for gas , went to start engine cranked w. no spark mechanic says i'm getting gas now i'm in a diagnostics shop w/ cost out of pocket / this does not count paying for two tows..............very disappointed
Yes, unfortunately you are out the cost of the tows and diagnostics. I would suspect the coil pack, crank sensor, or perhaps the neutral start switch. It's hard to say on a newer vehicle without running diagnostics. I'm surprised your mechanic couldn't do this for you -- most of the tests are fairly straightforward.
