My car died and doesn't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine shut down while driving.  Makes this
strange whining noise and cranks, but fails to turn
over.  It's not my fuel pump.  I'm worrying it's my
timing belt. I had the serpentine brunt replaced 4
months ago.  How can I check to see if it's the
timing belt easily? I don't want to have to take off
the other belts and lack $, $$$. $$ for anow
educated mechanic.

If tou have issues when it’s hot out open your gas tank and then start it. My 2008 Hyundai Accent was cranking, but not turning over I noticed I had 1/4 tank of gas so. Tried this and started within 5 min haven’t had any issues since. Just to be safe I’m going to replace the fuel filter since it’s never been done and I’m at 125,400 miles.
