1974 Volvo 142..Replaced Alternator
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I bought an old Volvo that had been sitting. On my trip home the alternator quit. I replaced the alternator, and all was fine for three days, then dash lights back on and not charging. Any ideas? Thank You!!

Convert to a one wire Chevy alternator. It will be much cheaper and easier to deal with than the old Bosch unit. Plus you can get them in a higher output. You may need to add a spacer to the lower mounting point, and turn the case around. Both fairly easy to figure out and do.
