explorers engine ant getting gas changed fuel pume and filter. now wants to start for a sec then dies. and the gas that came out the filter was dark almost black, any sugestions

Did you push that dark gas into the injector or flush out the line?

almost black? hows that? someone put tar in tank? drain tank,you did, re pump ok re filter ok, how about lines up to fuel rail, schrader valve to bleed fuel up there,bleed it, run seafoam thru intake[connect to a vacum line ,a 1/4 hose and let draw seafoam in,put in tank some also, now clean ! from that on diognostics!

it will start for a sec shake and die. like the engin ant getten enuff fuel to star running. theank its a fuel pressure regulator?

Back in the day, fuel filters had a viewing tube or clear filter bath, this way you'd instantly know if air was gettin in the stream. These days, we just go on faith. I only know of the existance of a fuel pressure regulator on a ford, because I asked my fellow mechanics back in the day what it was. Never acually interacted with them. just know OF them.
