can I tow a lincoln town car on tow dolly
thats a big car. first cross check the car with the dolly because you might be fender on fender. if it clears then drive it on the dolly. unbolt and tie the driveshaft to the frame at the axle so you dont fry the trans in transport.
"How can I tow a Lincoln Town Car on a tow dolly" should read a 2009 Town Car. The post shows a 1986 town car. Ramona
The lincoln Towncar is too big for any tow dolly for a couple of reasons. The first on is that it will not fit in the saddle, and if you are able to manipulate it in there, and strap the front wheels in, you are looking at possibly damaging the side of the vehicle while turning, especially sharp turns. The second reason the car is too big is that car dollys do not have brakes. This means that the tow vehicle has to administer all of the stopping power, and the curb weight of a Towncar is 3,895 lbs.
I would only flatbed my towncar no towing for me.
