I lost the key to my 1999 ford explorer .the ignition switched
is completely out ,is there any way I can get it to start without
the key or ignition switch till I can afford to buy one ?

I am not saying this is not legit but if stealing a car was this easy there would be no point in having a security system at all. You need the right key.

Not only will you have to purchase a cylinder with a chip key, it will have to be programmed by a locksmith, else it will not start.

Bryor Best Answer I got my light to turn off in my 1999 x Ford exorer.... sooo i broke my only transponder key . Like the actual transpo der in the key .... i am currently trying to wore the chip from the key into the antenna ... i have been able to shut off the thedtlight by waiting it out . Or turning key to full wait for blinking to show code then use the ignition control switch to put it back to off accessory , remove the cables to the pats system . Key forward than light still off plug pats back in . . . . Sfill havent got it to start but im well on my way lol . Any help would be aplreciated please text me of you know anything that could help .
