1999 Dodge Caravan 3.3 Newly bought wheel studs too thin.

I have been to 3 different auto part stores for 3
replacement wheel studs for my 1999 Dodge
Caravan. 3.3. All 3 stores gave me the same studs
and insisted they were for my vehicle. I even
handed them the registration with the specs and
VIN. Each time the studs spin in the wheel hub
holes. The don't lock. I even took a good stuff to
them. No luck. We tried studs for the rear as I am
looking for front studs. No luck. We tried studs for
a larger Dodge truck. No luck. I am driving on two
studs but I realize that is extremely dangerous but I
have no other option. Hummmm. What to do now.
Pay a mechanic to go through the same thing I am
experiencing? I can pay myself for this headache.
The van only has 96,000 miles or I wouldn't go
through this. Any ideas?

Thank you for your response. I did change a broken rusted brake line several months ago and had to remove the wheels to bleed the lines. One would assume that when I reinstalled the wheel I either over tighten the lug nuts or didn't tighten them enough. I did hammer out the two remaining studs and checked the remaining open hub holes and as I expected, they have to be pressed in. Which I did. Unfortunately that's what I'm driving on to get to these autozones and advanced auto stores. So, you said it. I didn't want to. But you are right. The dealership it is. I'll keep ya posted. Thank you.
