1997 dodge ram van 2500

I have a wiring problem. van will sattr lots of power when cold but somethig is
getting HOT and won't start until it cools - HELP I love my Van but keep having
the problem

Thanks beautupchevy, radio stopped working clock goes off and on air was working and now is not...DARN IT, getting really frustated. use to be perfect one of the mechanics did a half job being an elder I believed ....need to find me a specialist with older DOGE RAM VAN's P.S. will have started check replaced it 8 months ago

Does it turn over slow ? Look for any obvious wiring problems/corrosion , behind the dash ( loose wire on amp meter ) , under the carpet , Mice can invade even a daily driver .
