my 98 vw sharan starting problem

my 98 vw sharan drives fine, doesn;t over heat , but if you drive it for a while then stop and need to strat again straight away it turns over but does not start what could the problem be please help ???????????

check battery first. check corroded battery terminals or srews . then check alrernator after that check spark plug wires, check ahd clean mass air flow senser. clean throtle body. clean egr valve.check cloogged air fillter.
