intermitent starts on 2002 ford taurus

solenoid?? new battery-64000 miles --try 2 or 3 times -then starts

Could be the solenoid, BUT before buying parts just go over the battery cables to the solenoid and make certain it has a good ground. Too many good starters and solenoids get replaced because of a faulty battery cable or terminal.
