My 2005 Ford Territory keeps stalling when we start it up and also when we are stopped at traffic lights. Does anyone know what the problem may be? Mechanic says possibly needs a computer update?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ford dealership says he doesn't
believe it has anything to do with the
computer and thinks it may be our
neutral switch (it needs to be
replaced).

Was this ever rectified? If so please let me know, I've heard so many possible causes of the closed throttle stall (at idle) with the falcons and territorys. Fuel filter, spark plugs, injectors cleaned, new battery (best fix so far after a week), cam shaft sensor wire, parasitic leak on battery, possible alternator fail, ecu or isc failed or needing updates, transmission issues, transfer case issues. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF ANYONE FIGURES THIS OUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT IT WAS!!!!
