How to get rid of gasoline smell from old gas in a no working old car?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My husbands car has not worked for well over a
year and maybe longer. It has been in our garage
and about 2 months ago the gasoline started
dripping. It has stopped but there is a persistent
smell of fuel that won’t go away. He can’t move the
car until it’s fixed. How can he get rid of the smell?

1 Answer

First of all get rid of all the old gas in the car. You will have to air out the garage really well. If you can't move the car you can't clean the concrete under the car. Try spreading the clay type kitty litter under the car where the spot is. It should absorb odors. Replace it as needed.
