hi i have a 2004 volkswagen touran with alarm problems. when i lock the car it randomly goes off. is this a comon fault and how can it be fixed

check your battery most comman issues with locking systems and alarms is ussaly battery replated, namly meaning the battery does not any longer hold the proper charge and due to the lack of power the alarm system trips thinking its broken into. How old is your battery and did you buy it from the vw dealer ?
