I have a 1977 ford f100 truck that is idling too slow or too fast.

Asked by Guru37HB May 23, 2017 at 02:47 PM about the 1977 Ford F-100

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start it, it idles so slow that it stalls out. Once is warms up, it idles at 25 mph and I cannot kick it down to a normal speed. I had the idle adjusted by repair shop. It did not help.

Your engine may have a vacuum leak or the choke may need adjustment and you may need to have the carburetor rebuilt.
