What's the biggest engine I can put in my 63 F100 without needing to change my transmission and I like my 3 on the tree?

Depends on what engine and transmission it has now. It may be possible to install a 390, 406 or 428. My guess is that it has or had a 352 in it?

Or maybe it has a 292 in it?

You need to determine which transmission you have and what it's adaptability is to other Ford engines. It would be cool if you could put a used Mustang 5.0 engine in it that is fuel injected. I am not well informed as to what kind of horse power your 3 speed transmission would handle and that may be the limiting factor.

A 289 or 302 would be my choice. Something from an early Mustang perhaps.
