What is wrong with my 2003 Ford Windstar

I have a 2003 Ford Windstar I had it 2 1/2 yrs now & its
been making sounds like it wants to cut off on me & it has
cut off a couple times but started back up until yesterday it
just completely went out on me it won't start up all my
lights come on so it can't be the battery (it's brand new) I
had to get towed back to my house & the people told me
that my motor went out is that the case or could it be
something else & what can I do
