I have 1987 Toyota pickup that won't start unless I put a little gas in carb. It runs fine until it sits 20-30 mins then have to do it again help please

Sounds like you may have a bleed down in the fuel system,this can be caused by a faulty fuel pressure regulator,bad fuel filter or fuel pump.

I would replace the fuel filter. Your truck may have a carburetor and if so it may need a rebuild. In the meantime I would use a good fuel system cleaner like Seafoam.

Make sure choke is closed when you attempt to start should close when cold and you actuate the throttle once snd release this will/should clise choke and set high idle cam if it doesn't maybe yhat is the issue. Choke closed pulls fuel into carb bia caccum created.
