1982 datsun 280zx compatible with 81 or not?
Hey I just got a 1981 280zx the tranny 's input rod and possibly more are toast
Just went on me on the first real test drive to say i am bummed is an
understatement. Finally get my dream car a boom, she no work...
It also needs some odds and ends there is a guy selling a 1982 280zx how
compatible are the tranny and things like seatbelt clips, t -roof glass, etc etc
parts interchangeability is very good between all the 280zx's regardless of years - maybe not all of it but a lot of it (now, remember that body - trim- interior bits will be diff between 2 seaters and 2=2 models) by the way - nice photo of a "real" Z car - why is the ZX your dream when you have a real Z ?
my car is a rocket. I am wondering if you know about mufflers? Once again is the 82 and 81 parts interchangeable (particularly the exhaust manifold )
For the most part, everything is interchangeable. The only real differences between the two were in the engine management side of things. And it wasnt very big ones.
