Rack and pinion conversion

Question type: Car Customization

Does anyone make a kit or provide details on installing a power rack and pinion unit into '70-'71 Torino/Rancheros? Can I modify a kit made for '70 Mustang? Suspensions are close to same, but is track width close enough to provide proper bump steer geometry? My Ranchero has 302 and headers, but willing to change exhaust to fit. I can fabricate new crossmember but concerned about same bump steer issues related to mounting height, rack width, piviot points etc. Can rack be mounted with slots and/or slugs to make it adjustable?

I did find a crossmember from 'Fatman' that converts the whole front suspension to Mustang/Pinto Strut suspension, but I was hoping to just replace the power steering unit with a Rack unit,....still looking!
