There isn't a trim name in the world that sounds more basic than Value Package. Still, the Value Package Accord has a fairly good list of features.
Many base-model cars don't come with cruise control or air conditioning - especially not air conditioning with air filtration - but this one does. It also has daytime running lights and a chrome exhaust finisher.
As you've probably guessed, the engine is a 4-cylinder, delivering 166 horsepower. An optional 5-speed automatic transmission is available in lieu of the 5-speed manual.
Safety is a requirement, not an option, and Honda obliges with ABS, front-side air bags, side-curtain air bags, and ABS. The car earned 5 stars in the NHTSA's frontal crash test.

But the LX has more to offer than fuel economy. It's quite a comfortable car, with standard features ranging from power mirrors to an air filtration system integrated with the air conditioning.
You and yours will be safe in the LX, too, as it contains a full complement of air bags, including side-curtain units. The included daytime running lights enhance visibility to other drivers, and the ABS also makes the drive safer.

Its ride is kept smooth by a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link double-wishbone rear suspension. Power-assisted anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights, and a full complement of air bags (front-side and side-curtain included) comes standard, making this a very safe sedan.
An impressive set of standard features makes it seem like more than a base model. That list includes air conditioning with filtration, a power moonroof, cruise control, a 6-CD in-dash audio system with 6 speakers. There's also an anti-theft system.
Exterior features that catch the eye are the chrome-end exhaust pipe and 16-inch alloy wheels. Buyers have their choice of a dozen paint finishes.

Another big bonus on this trim is the Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, which teams up with ABS and air bags to make the SE V6 a safe vehicle. This zippy Honda Accord LX has 244 horses under its hood in the form of a 3.0-liter, single overhead cam V6, making it a fun mid-sized commuter. It's also a safe one, as its standard roster includes ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution, traction control, and front side airbags with side-curtain units too.
Some of the bells and whistles on this trim, such as the heated side mirrors, make driving it convenient, and others, such as the 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, make it comfortable. And then there are the dual chrome exhaust pipes and 17-inch alloy wheels, which just make it pretty.
The V6 showed higher rates of user satisfaction than the 4-cylinder models. Owners love its looks, interior quality, and capability in the power department.

The driver and front passenger notice the plushness right away when they sit in the leather-trimmed heated seats, which can even be nice on not-so-cold days for those who experience back pain. The steering wheel is a pleasure to grip, as it is wrapped in perforated leather.
Driver and passenger will be assured of their personal comfort with the dual-zone auto climate control, but that's not to say they won't argue about what channel to tune in to on the included XM Satellite Radio. Other equipment on every EX-L includes air conditioning with air filtration, a security system, a power moonroof, and cruise control.

You love Mother Nature, but you also appreciate a little manmade power under your foot. Well, you can have horsepower and save a little crude at the same time, thanks to the Accord Hybrid Sedan.
The 253-horsepower V6 features the Integrated Motor Assist technology, which calls into service a supplemental electric motor to boost mileage to around 25 city and 34 highway. It's not a huge difference from the standard gasoline-burning Accord V6, but it adds up, and every little bit helps.
A little luxury never hurts, either, and the Accord Hybrid tempts potential buyers with its stylish interior, complete with leather steering wheel and seats (heated, of course) and moonroof with tilt. The driver's seat comes with 8-way power-adjust, meaning that even the longest drives will be comfortable.
Those long drives should be very safe, too, as the Hybrid, like all Accord sedans, includes front side airbags and ABS. Daytime running lights help make it more visible to other drivers, which in turn increases the safety factor.
