Pros

Apperance, manual transmission, exhaust sound

Cons

gas mileage, not having it anymore.

My Favorite Of All Times. — This was and still is my favorite vehicle ever. Not just because it was my first car but because it was me. The manual transmission made me feel like i was part of the car. It was tough and could go through about any thing i put it through. The 3.0L V6 was just enough to push the truck to highway speeds up hills here in western PA but it did it with no complaints and with or with out a load. The best part was the sound. It didn't sound like a truck with a small V6. It sounded like a little sports car with a performance v6 or even a small v8. Gas mileage was pretty bad for what it was, but i think it was my driving. I usually got 14 - 16 mpg. My dad managed 22-25 mpg. With the added visor, running boards, fog lights, tool box, and tonneau cover it looked sweet. It was almost unbreakable after the electronic four wheel drive was removed at about 60,00 miles. I will miss this truck forever.

Pros

Sturdy, fun, nice looking.

Cons

I got totally ripped at the dealer.  Wish I could have afforded the 4X4.  There should be more than 4 cylinders in a truck!

Little White Truck — I owned this truck for several years after retiring the Corolla. It was fun and served me well. I bought it with 12,000 miles and had it up to 80,000 in only 3 years. It was an awesome pizza delivery vehicle and made trips from Phoenix to Cali once a month for about a year. I took it places it shouldn't have gone and it hung in there like a big truck. Never had a problem with it!

Pros

Truck still runs after 20 years.  Able to haul around lots of cargo and still get good gas mileage, when its not loaded.

Cons

Underpowered engine leaves a lot to be desired on the freeway.  After 20 years, rust has taken hold of most of the frame.

Small Truck, Underpowered Engine — This is a nice, inexpensive truck, but the underpowered 89 horsepower engine makes it difficult to drive on modern freeways. If you're looking for a truck that'll get you around town and hold a decent amount of cargo this is great, but it is not the most powerful truck ever.

My First Car Ever — wicked fun to drive really fast, lots of acceleration , more torque then power, brakes on a dime and handels amazing 4000$ worth of suspension...gas is ok going far places and oil changes are about 60$ each time, no squeaks

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

does not do well on hills on the highway.

The Only Thing I Would Change On It Is The Transmisson...automatic To Manual — Performance- not great acceleration, brakes well, handles decently for a 4wd truck Build quality- very good...very minor repairs over its lfe Appearance- Clean lines, and a nice amount of chrome Cost- 16-20 mpg...9 in 4wd. maintenance is cheap... just oil changes and such i like to drive it. it takes corners pretty fast, has a good stereo and a nice exhaust note...for stock.

Best Car I've Ever Owned.... — i loved my Ranger...i never should have sold it...WAHHHH!!!! i drove it for 6 years and never should have sold it. it never gave me problems and never once broke down...ah well. Best thing about it was that it was sooo low maintenance. all i ever had to do was change the oi and get new brake pads...that was all... i did swap out the crummy standard radio though...l

Pros

Fits family of four, decent on fuel, hauls small stuff, fairly easy to work on.

Cons

Acceleration isn't great because of small motor, older and was neglected on some aspects by previous owners (sure there were reasons).

Love It, Only Change Might Be A 3.0 6 Banger. — Four banger isn't much when needed to get on interstate, back seats are decent for younger people. Hasn't been too bad considering I purchased it at an auction, and have replaced rear end, a starter, and radiator. Good vehicle for camping or short road trips though minus it doesn't have cruise control and is a manual (5spd). Overall a good truck.
