Can running out of gas hurt the engine and cause MPG to decrease drastically? What are other common things that lead to decreased MPG? I have noticed in my 2014 Subaru crosstrek hybrid with 82K miles that within the past 2K miles that my MPG has decreased from about 27 MPG to 23 MPG.
