I’ve always really liked these vehicles ever since I was a kid I always thought they were tough looking trucks for a Japanese vehicle and I’ve always wanted one I’ve had a Nissan pathfinder but every time I pull up inside her forerunner I felt kind of ashamed !!!Aug 25, 2021

4 wheel drive came in great when visiting family up north for Christmas. Gave me great confidence in this vehicles performance in all conditions. 3rd row always a bonus to have when have those couple extra kids to bring along. The Technology package is great on this vehicle. Everything you need is available in their convenience packages..GPS, Backup Camera, Bluetooth, USB Ports, lots more....Also a strong V6 engine that is great on gas. The 4Runner is a perfect sized vehicle for the mid-sized family that doesn't want to buy too big of a vehicle to be accommodated. Hope this review helps!Jun 02, 2014

Ride and drive is much improved over older 4runner generations. The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) designed for off road, I think, actually improves the ride in city driving. The technology interface provides the capability to bluetooth several phones, so it will sync with my phone and other family members devices w/o problem.Aug 18, 2013

Love this 4runner, great detail with the design. Plenty of power, room, entertainmetn, etc. Sound system is wonderful, pull out cargo tray in the back is wonderful for southern style tailgaiting at ballgames and camp-out. I have always liked the 4Runner and used to be a bigger fan of the older generation models but after a couple weeks with this truck I couldn't be happier. The comfort and controls of the interior are perfect. The design of the exterior still has the 4Runner feel (even though not as boxy as previous models). It has the style of a luxury SUV but I have no doubt it will be powerful enough to tow my boat and take me off road when I want it to.Jan 28, 2013

2012 4Runner with ground effects kit
We just purchased a 2012 4runner sr5, we live on a gravel road and would like to put mud flaps on it. We took it to a Toyota dealer who was unable to install the flaps due to a ground effects kit that was on the vehicle. He said Toyota, weather tech and whatever other company they deal with don’t have any either. He also said it wouldn’t look nice to take the kit off? He said it would look like something is missing. Are there any brands of mud flap that work in this situation? Thanks!

Twice in 2 months my 2012 Toyota 4runner has had a dead battery and the alarm in barely chirping.
The car was turned off, locked, the doors were all locked and no interior lights were on. The battery readily accepted charge and ran fine. Dealer found nothing wrong. What caused this and what do I do about it.
