I need help finding the leak
I have a coolant leak in my 2009 Volkswagen Gti but I can't find it. Any thoughts?

An affordable sports hatch, the 2009 Volkswagen GTI adds heated front seats and heated washer fluid to its standard features this year. Riding on a sport-tuned independent suspension, the two-door and four-door versions of the front-wheel drive GTI carry the same set of equipment and powertrain. A turbo 2.0-liter inline-four delivers 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, paired with a standard 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG automatic. This sequential shift transmission mimics a manual, but without the clutch. Acceleration is quick and responsive, though owners and critics complain about the long throws of the manual. PZEV (partial zero emissions) versions of the coupe and sedan are offered in California.
With solid German engineering, the 2009 GTI exhibits crisp handling and precise steering, without sacrificing a bit of driving fun. Though no sports car, the GTI pleases the modest performance enthusiast with its responsive ride and tuner capabilities. It also boasts a good safety record, thanks to standard 4-wheel ABS brakes, traction and stability control, xenon HID headlamps, 17-inch performance tires, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags for both rows. Available in a single trim level, the GTI offers plenty of creature comforts, with power features, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, leather trim, and a 10-speaker 6-CD changer with MP3 jack and satellite radio.
The 2009 GTI holds 15 cubic feet of storage, with a low load-in height and carpeted floor. Rear seats split-fold 60/40, though not completely flat. A fold-down armrest works double-duty as a trunk pass-through. Rear passengers may feel a bit cramped with 35 inches of legroom and may struggle with entry and exit in the two-door GTI. Front passengers are treated to a standard 41 inches of legroom, good headroom, and comfortable sport seats. The glove box features temperature control and can be cooled.
Drivers love the solid build, quality interior materials, responsive acceleration, and superior handling of the 2009 GTI, which works well as both a functional city car and a weekend back-road cruiser. Though marketed as a performance hatchback for those on a budget, potential buyers should be aware that the price of the 2009 GTI quickly soars with the addition of numerous options, such as a sunroof, navigation system, leather upholstery, and power front seats. Other drawbacks include a harsh ride when outfitted with the optional 18-inch wheels and the lack of a standard V6 to add a bit more excitement behind the wheel.

The Mk V was my favorite GTI in 2012. Bought a 2009 with low mileage and had stage 3 performance package done with a trusted mechanic. At $23k, it has been the greatest driving performance ever and I have been a GTI nut ever since.Mar 23, 2015

This Volkswagen GTI gets about 29/31 miles per gallon. It is a 6 speed manual with a turbo. It has remote power door locks, power mirrors, low fuel level warning, turn signal in mirrors, dual illuminating vanity mirrors, 4 wheel abs, remote anti-theft alarm system and also daytime running lights.Sep 20, 2013

Acceleration and brakes are quite perfect, if you once drive it on sport mode you will never drive it normally
you need to spend on it if you drive it violently
it looks nice with german best interior quality

Very stable and the perfect hot hatch. Very well rounded. Fast and
comfortable at the same time. Excellent traction did even need snow tires
in the winter and I live in Michigan. Only bad thing would be the
electronics. VW is not known for having quality electric systems in their

Performance - for what the engine is and its economy the performance is excellent
Build Quality - This is as good as it gets for a German car!
Appearance - The car looks great in Black, just hard to keep clean
Cost of ownership - Excellent gas mileage, maintenance is a little costly but
distance from service to service is great (15 000km)
Fun Factor - Car is great, makes a nice exhaust note and fun to play around with

In regards to price, quality, driving enjoyment, and practicality I compared the GTI with a 350z, C30, Cooper S, Altima Coupe, Accord Coupe, and tC. All in all, the GTI wins. The 350 is fast and fun but not practical for commuting; a great toy. The C30 was too expensive for a car of the same quality of the GTI. The Cooper S is the most over-designed and disgusting interior I have ever seen. The Altima and the Accord were overpriced and bad on gas. And the tC was low-quality... The GTI won on almost all of these points and if it didnt win it was a close second...Mar 18, 2010

I love the size and accelaration and transmission. Handling around the turns is very managable and terrific. Its grey with red trim, and looks extremely attractive. It is very fun to drive and faster out of the hole than many other cars have come across.Mar 04, 2010

The perfect pinnacle of price, performance, and practicality. I also own a 2006 Pontiac GTO with a supercharged (aftermarket) 6.0L V-8 pumping out 540 hp and 520 lb-ft, and this little GTI is as much fun to drive as my muscle car, and maybe even more so with respect to all around handling. When I have to decide which car to drive, it's always a tough choice, but I'm never surpised when the GTI wins out (and usually more often).Jan 29, 2010

Lo que le faltaba al GT, lo tiene el GTI, es una bala en cuanto les pisas al acelerador. Mejoir ir con cuidado en los birajes cerrados ya que el morro tiende a ir por su cuenta.

Its handling is awesome and it picks up speed really
fast, shifts through the gears well.
Never gone in for repairs, 2 door which is awesome
and has black tint. I get around 240 miles per tank if i
drive normally, its an awesome car to drive especially

Great performance, excellent torque in the low RPM range. Good bang for your buck performance. Good fuel efficiency. The DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) transmission is AMAZING!!!!!...best tranny in a car under $100,000. I swear by it. If you buy this car you have to get the DSG! Sep 13, 2009

awesome......The GTI is a great all-around sporty car. Good power, no turbo lag, good handling, nice interior with lots of room, good fuel economy, and it feels & drives like a more expensive vehicle. It may not have the outright power of a WRX, but the refinement and fun are a great combination for me. It handles great, is quiet going down the road. It inspires confidence on back roads, and never feels like you are asking it to do something it doesn't want to.

get new tires off the bat for starters. With a chip, it will be as fast as an S4. The inside is pretty good quality, there is a ton of features on this car and for a decent price. Mine averages 32 mpg all around, if i drive nicely or 27 mpg if i beat the piss out of it. No cost maintenance warrant is pretty cool.
