One of best decisions I've made was trading in my 2004 WRX for an 09 WRX! Although I think my 04 looked Beefy like the Incredible Hulk... this WRX has the little niceties (MP3, Bluetooth - phone, Satellite Radio) which as I become older learn to appreciate more & more. The Dunlop's SP Sport 01 seems to be lasting longer than my old WRX (Bridgestone Potenza's). Both tires are very noisy.Mar 07, 2013

I love this car! In first gear around 3500 rpm when the turbo hits you get thrown back into your seat. Tht is an amazing feeling. It corners like nothing else i have driven before. I havent had enough time to write a full review yet.Aug 29, 2012

The price point of the WRX model is unbeatable for an AWD car and the engine build quality of Subaru. I can say that after 23000 miles, I have had no problems besides the routine maintenance. Change oil, filter, and fluids at the proper intervals and this car will last a long time. Feb 28, 2012

Excellent car, just a blast to drive and is built like a tank. The all wheel
drive is incredible, no issues at all in the snow, powers through slush and
snow like a champ. Overall am very, very pleased with the car and love it!Jun 01, 2011

Performance- AWD is amazing on the subi's. Very quick car
for the money. Good handling, slightly stiff for my taste.0-
60 in 4.7.
Build Quality- Runs strong, no problems.
Appearance- Very sleek car. Fits the look of todays cars.
Changed alot from old but i love it.
Cost of Ownership- Gas mileage isnt too bad especially
when staying out of the turbo. Can get slightly over 30
MPG hwy.
Fun Factor- If you ever get a chance to drive it, take it.

My Subaru Impreza WRX is amazing, it handles great, it acclerates great, and it looks good. I do not dislike anything about my car. I have gotten about 20-25 MPG, it is a very fun car to drive. Everyone should buy a SubaruOct 20, 2009

The performace 10/10 , braking 10/10 , handling -100/10 , It was in a accident it took 70 day to be repeared , interior cool needs miner upgrading , exterior sweet , To expensive +/- R331000.00 SA rands , normal driving its a gusler 15.3 L / 100km , if driving like miss daise good 9.5 L / 100km , Not fun 2 drive handels like soap in corners , Amazing power over allOct 18, 2009

Pluses:
Engine - amazing acceleration, reviewed at low 5s 0-60
Brakes - Best I've ever experienced, makes up for driving mistakes like you wouldn't believe
Handling - Good so far, haven't put it in the snow yet
Minuses:
-Not very much storage on the standard model in terms of cup holders and all that

Amazing Acceleration, Good stopping distance, and Amazing quality. Nice bucket seats and a roomy back seat. I also like the looks of this car. The hood scoop adds a nice look to the car, and the back looks nice with it's spoiler.Jul 05, 2009

Fast and practical. 0-60 in 4.7 with a clutch abusing
red line launch. Awesome handling, AWD and good
looks, It gets lots of looks. Even my Dad liked driving
it... Turbo + AWD = lots of fun! a little hard on gas

My model is the WRX 265 which accelerates, brakes
and corners so ferociously it is nearly a track day
car. It is prone to understeer at high speed
cornering. The interior is plastic and cheep feeling
but then the WRX is about performance, not luxury.
The appearance had to grow on my but the wagon
style if very functional. The interior simple and the
radio is horrible. Bang for your buck this is an
amazing car that has no real rival for price and
power. The STI is $8-10K more and the Evo X is
even more than that. Fun factor is 11 our of 10.
This is one of the greatest cars I have ever owned.

Why is my 2009 Subaru wrx struggling, stuttering and sluggish?
Last year and a half I had to get get my block honed from the dealer due to warpage, they said I wasn't letting it idle down in temperature, and I had to get the transmission rebuilt and had the clutch replaced while they had access. I hadn't driven it much since I was recovering from surgery to repair a left snapped distal bicep tendon but now I'm back to driving it and it feels underpowered almost starved and stutters and shutters like it doesn't have enough fuel. I took it back to the transmission shop and they said it was a fuel problem but, it doesn't sputter while revving it in neutral...absolutely zero fuel feed issues when not in gear. It has under 80K miles and I love my car and miss how responsive it used to be since my wife's Hyundai Accent can out accelerate my Subaru going up an onramp. I'm not ready to sell it since it cost me 8K to"fix" it. Any help with my problem would be greatly appreciated.
