how do i fix my over heating problem
i have a 2006 chevy maxx 3.5 i replaced thermastat, water pump and fans but still over heats any suggestions?

The 2006 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx was restyled, and dropped the chrome bar that ran across the grille of the car. These changes hearkened back to earlier days of this model, recalling a sportier era, only this time in a zippy little station-wagon-type machine.

this car has everything, room for family, powerful engine, great sound system, room for bikes, comfortable drive. its just not that pretty to look at. there is nothing besides that to complain about. ive had it for 6 years, runs flawlessly at over 100,000 miles.Feb 10, 2013

Performance - adequate for my purposes. Nothing too flashy, but it gets me from A to B in the time I want it to.
Quality is reasonable, but only average. The brakes drive me crazy, but it's a typical front-wheel drive GM, with undersized rotors that wear out and warp in no time. No particular squeaks or rattles, but the really annoying thing is the rear window washer jet that keeps coming disconnected. That and the remote that crapped out on me after three years.
Appearance and styling are good, but the cloth seats really show every stain and spill that happens. Should've ScotchGuarded when I bought it.
Very happy with the mileage. It regularly gets 35 mpg on the highway, and about 25-28 in the city. Winter is a different thing. It really sucks gas in the cold weather. Cost of repairs has been reasonable,. As mentioned above, my only beef is with the brakes. 110,000 km and 2 complete brake jobs, rotors and all. That's not acceptable.
Fun - no. It's workmanlike at best. But if Iwanted fun, I would own a sports car. I need function, rather than fun.Jun 09, 2010

Gas milage not so great unless speed is maintained around fifty miles per hour without any stop and goes. SS suspension is unbeleivable, except at very high speeds where the typical front-wheel drive instability raises its head. Only thing wrong inside is a plastic trim piece around the back door handle won't stay on. Occassionally the rear window wiper turns itself on for a few seconds.Nov 14, 2009

Performance- great, gets up to speed fast, great stock sound system
Build- okay, i had to get it realigned already and get the brake rotors fixed
Apperance-okay, works for a family car
Cost- not too bad

Front end steering or suspension.
I have a 2006 Malibu Maxx LT V6; I had my tires (good thread not bald) rotated recently. While driving it the car/steering has a tendency to pull to the right. This has happened before. So the tire rotation was reversed- back to previous use. Therefore, I was unable to rotate tires base on manual instruction. Thus wearing the same tire repeatedly. Please help/advise. Thank you.

Car shuts off while driving
My 2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx will shut off only on hot days in the summer. The engine will shut off ONLY when I am driving never when idling. There are no codes and the check engine light is off. I have taken it to multiple mechanics and all they tell me is that my car is in great condition and runs great. Sometimes it will shut off 4 or 5 times in one sitting. It struggles to start back up when this happens. I know when it will shut off because right before it happens, my car will beep a few times, the check engine light will flash as well as the traction control light with a line through it. My car will also shudder and shake before it shuts off. My mechanic boyfriend says the PCV valve is bad and I have a few vacuum leaks, could these cause my car to shut off? Or what else should I check?

Temperature gauge and ac stopped working
I have a 2006 chevy Malibu Maxx SS and today I got in my car and when I started it the temperature gauge was stuck on cold and my AC isn't working neither. And when I got home i disconnected both battery cables and cleaned the battery terminals and cable ends and the the temperature gauge and AC both worked for about 15 or 20 minutes and then the temperature gauge dropped to cold and my AC started blowing warm air again. Does anyone have any idea what my problem could be
