Where are the O2 sensors located on a 2003 Mercury Marauder
I suspect that a faulty O2 sensor is causing variations in gas mileage.

Black is indeed beautiful. Great comfortable ride easy to maintain. Finding parts not been an issue 140000 miles on (one of) mine, runs great You dont see many of these on the road.
High mileage- if properly maintained- is not a drawback.
Does not have all the proximity sensors or cameras so you need to get used to the size of the beast.
Great road car - went on a 4000 mi trip and was able to fit my bike ( removed front wheel) in the trunk!
I stick with the motorcraft parts as often as I can - oil, filter , switches, etc.... they just seem to fit better and you have a pretty good idea of how long they last.
My exception to this has been the brake pads and rotors - like the Bosch brake parts.

The model is great but old. Difficult to repair because of age and finding parts. Long lasting vehicle with a ride similar to most luxury cars. Should not be priced over 10K due to age.Nov 06, 2022

I like the fact that this car has all the certificates from Ford, all the dealer brochures, it's #101 out of 3878 made in 03, VERY fast, highly modified so I have no complaints and would definitely highly recommend to any Ford/Mercury fan. Jan 02, 2015

I have owned this car for 12 years, and loved it. It cruises like a dream and is very comfortable. Impeccable reliability. Handling is awesome and way better than any full size sedan should be. It routinely gets 22-23 mpg on the highway. It has good power backed up with modern reliability. No more flooding your carb.Apr 24, 2014

Performance sedan,fast mercury marque roomy and great cruser.Rare car only made for two years.i had a 1996 impala ss wich was a performance chevy caprice.this car was the answer to it.full size power 301 horse power whit a lot of nice options.Jan 25, 2013

It is a fast, comfortabke car. Loads of room and good performance. A few dollars and an hour or so can tweak the shifting and give you a few more HP. I recommend Trilogy and Alternative Automotive for a serious HP injection.Jul 01, 2009

Overall a great balance of luxury and performance - weighing in at @4500 lbs it could have used more power but being a great platform for modification could be beefed up alot. Love the look myself, somewhat understated but with a bit of bling, it has turned many heads in its time. Unfortunately some ghosts in the electrical system (headlights, wipers) have cropped up, though to be fair to an American car it didn't have a single problem 'til +50000 miles. The worst car I have ever owned.
It's performance was adequate... probably should
be a lot hotter for a special edition car.
It's quality was awful. Bad paint, bad shocks, bad
interior trim, bad brakes, bad fog lights... and a few
other things that were probably because it was a
limited edition car thrown together with parts-bin
parts. (Rather than a car that was tested, tweaked,
and tested again)
I consider buying the Marauder a mistake.

This car has a very spacious interior with black leather and metallic trim. Very reliable car that has the power to throw you into the seat with its acceleration. It is very clean cut sedan with all the extras that you would expect from a luxury sedan blended with a sports car and the trunk is huge.Mar 17, 2008

I have owned this car since it was brand new. Have rolled the odometer to 60,000. No problems. It is a daily driver. My wife rolls back and forth from work. The car has a great ride, filled with plenty of creature comforts. Plenty of room, Has all the gauges instead of the idiot lights. Will merge into interstate traffic with plenty of pep.
