The 2003 Chevrolet Corvette is part of the C5 group or generation, widely lauded for its improved ride and performance. All trims include sport seats, fog lights, and a dual-zone climate control system. All 2003 cars had 50th anniversary badging in the nose and rear deck.
2003 also brought the special 50th Anniversary Edition Corvette, much sought-after by collectors. Of the 35,000 total 2003 cars produced, 11,000 were the Anniversary Edition, of which 7,000 were convertibles, and 4,000 coupes. The Anniversary Edition (A/E) was a $5,000 option. Specific to the option package were the color (anniversary red, with a shale interior and shale top on the convertible), standard magnetic ride control, 50th anniversary embroidery logos on the headrests and floormats, and special badging on the front fenders.

Currently economical to purchase , many Improvements over prior years i.e. Drivetrain , electrical, body &paint ...especially in areas such as E.B.C.M. /A.B.S systems . Very good value ( ssh long as the miles are low & was treated well by prior owners ?Apr 26, 2023

Exahust manifold was leaking which was causing acceleration issues (bucking) interior had issues like pass. window not working, strange messages on the dash, always a hole in the driver door panel behind the handle... tacky useless interior. Beautiful car otherwise but these things are getting old. They will have strange issues.Apr 26, 2021

This is the 50th Anniversary car and my first Vette. The car is gliding beautifully with only 14k original miles! Really nice retro experience with the manual convertible top, reliable 5.7 liter 4 speed automatic! Not disappointed so far.Nov 11, 2020

I think the 50th anniversary Corvette is a very special car. The technology to price ratio is very attractive in addition to last of Corvette pop-up headlights and round brake lights. I would stay away from the adaptive suspension option ( to temperamental and expensive to fix)... but after that I feel this is the perfect car.Sep 23, 2020

Great car for the money if you are in the market for a sports car. Very reliable, great handling, excellent power and impressive fuel economy. What more can you say. My only complaint would be the seats. They really aren't up to par with the rest of the car. Jan 18, 2015

Ive owned 6 Corvettes in the last 58 years, and the C5 Z06 was so far ahead of the competition in the early 2000s. It will still hold its own with many new cars . Fun to drive, fast and great handling. Buy a clean one with low miles and have some fun Jan 02, 2015

This is a special-purpose vehicle. It's great for taking on vacation, or running around on the weekend. It looks great, is fun to drive and has a removable T-top so we can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine (or moon and stars) when the weather is nice. This is not a car you want to drive in really bad weather. It's meant for racetrack conditions, not winter roads.Jun 27, 2014

The only negative that I can think of is it is not a commuter car, hence the low miles. Shifting into first and second gear (because of traffic) tends to get tiresome, but on the open road with the top down, look out! Jun 01, 2014

Acceleration and braking are incredible, just as easy to stop on a dime as it is to merge onto any freeway in a short distance. Very comfortable cockpit for a two seat performance vehicle and decent storage for bags/ suitcases.May 31, 2014

This car is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It has unbelievable acceleration, handles like a dream, it is just an extremely fun car to drive............constantly turns heads! This car would always draw people over to look at it. The colors GM chose for the 50th Anniversary model are truly Corvette! I don't like this car, I love it. I purchased it new over 8 years ago and have not regretted that decision once. It is an excellent daily driver and extremely economical compared to sports cars with similar performance abilities. The trunk easily handles 2 sets of golf clubs and weekend bags with the top up or down. The seats are supportive and comfortable. The car is a blast to drive and a constant head turner. Nov 05, 2011

Love the colors of the exterior and interior. Removable tint top. Memory Seats. Wheel color. Interior layout and appearance. Build quality is outstanding. Ride is very nice with the Select Ride Feature. Lots of space in the rear/compartments. Gas mileage is great. (27/31 highway)(21 overall). Just a fun car to own and drive. Interior noise level is not good, however I have added a sound deadening kit from Corvette-Web-Central and replaced the Good Year Eagle run flats with Cooper Zeon's and what a world difference. You can actually have a normal conversation with your passenger. We also purchased a two place cup holder from Mid-America Motorworks and it works great. Apr 29, 2011

I love the way this car looks. The C-5 brought back more curves to the body. I like the longer body than the c-6 and that the c-5 still has the pop-up headlights. Torch Red and black (my favorite color combo). Its fun and easy to drive, and is affordable.Apr 26, 2011

An automatic, so lacks that control a manual offers, but surprisingly quick still. Only problem was the headlight bracket broke, not a major thing, quick fix!! Gas mileage is well above what I expected, highway I ran about 28 mpg!!Apr 25, 2011
