When I start my van, it wants to stall or it stalls. if I start it & keep my foot on the gas a little it stays running no problem. I cleaned the MAF & installed a new air filter, still the same. Anyone have any insight?
Hi all. I have a 2002 GMC safari with 300thousand miles on it and it has been running great! Now the transmission starts slipping a bit specially while it's cold, after driving a while it gets better although it still slipps. Please HELP on what might it be and what to do ;) thanks
OK here is my problem when I drive my 2002 GM safari van my speedometer would just go up an down an the transmission starts to act funny so I can't drive the freeway but when I take the streets it's semi okay someone told me change the speed sensor on the transmission so I did and still having the same issues can anyone help me PLEASE IM DYING OVER HERE
I have a 2002 Safari and had the motor replaced, but I don't know if the mechanic used another 2002 motor or used a newer one. The problem I'm having is that when I take off from a stop, I feel the idle kick up and it slowly increases speed until reaching about 50 mph without having pressed the accelerator at all. Then when i stop, it idles back down to what feels normal until I let off the brake, then at about 3 mph, the idle kicks up again. I replaced the oxygen sensor on the passenger side and the idle air control valve. I tried to clean the EGR valve, but couldn't locate it and that's what leads me to believe the motor is newer than 2002. I read on other forums that 2003 and newer Safaris don't have an EGR valve.
