ac condenser fan not coming on
why my condenser fan is not coming on the ac is blowing cold air and the condenser coil is hot but the fan wont come on to cool it i changed the pressure switch and the condenser fan it still wont come on

The 2000 Nissan Frontier saw a few important changes from the previous model. First, Nissan began to offer the Crew Cab, which featured a rear bench seat (instead of the inward-facing jump seats in the KingCab) and independent rear doors. Another new addition was the Desert Runner, which was a 2WD King Cab built on the higher 4X4 chassis. The 2000 Frontier comes in three trims: the Desert Runner, the midrange XE, and the fully loaded SE. The three trims came in a variety of body styles, including an extended cab (KingCab), the Crew Cab, a short bed, 4WD, and a regular cab. Most Frontiers, except the Crew Cab came standard with a 2.4-liter, 143-horsepower four-cylinder engine that gets about 20/24 mpg in the standard cab and 18/21 for the extended cab. The Crew Cab came standard with the .4-liter, 170-horsepower V6, which got 15/19 mpg and which was optional in the KingCabs. The Crew Cab proved to be popular with 2000 Frontier purchasers, who loved the extra passenger room and for the most part did not miss the lost bed space. Overall, drivers appreciate the reliability and the good value of the truck. Some drivers complain about the fit and finish of the interior and say that the four-cylinder is not powerful enough.

overall for a short bed and v6 its freakin unbelivable a 4 foot bed yes i cant sleep in the bed lol but i found out last night it took dodge an over drive 3.8 v6 to beat it lol either way i like it Oct 22, 2009

Truck has been great to me for the 10 years.
Had very limited problems with the truck.
My only complaint, I wish it had more power when
hauling my pontoon boat. Over all, I would not

Our 2000 nissan frontier had marked respective ownership that had been pass down to train us as a new driver when it comes to its length which is tough to make a u turn on a narrow one way roads.Performance is simply enough for great carriage and could be for towing.I would say it would be quite well on asian countries due to the continues rainy season together with flooded highways this is the car that will not die on those certain roads.Jul 07, 2009

i loved this truck. drove well. had to put new ac tubes
in but will freeze you to death now. put custom tail
lights and head unit in. needs bolts replaced to hold

decent, v6 lacks some power, yet it is the 4 speed transmission that not only kills mileage but acceleration as well. Yet, the car makes up for what it lacks in a firm suspension, easy ride height, and quick maneuverability. Mar 17, 2008

Have loved this truck since I first saw it in the ads. Have loved it even more since I bought it in 2000. Was single at the time so it had more than enough room inside and out. Great for hauling dirty and smelly gardening stuff. Lots of clearance for travel through snow or on rough and rocky terrain. Great reliability and structure, I can't believe it's 8 years old (was built in '99). Easy to find in the mall parking lot!Jan 16, 2008

2000 Nissan Frontier XE EGR OBDII Monitor Incomplete
I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier XE that has been going through the California smog test hell hole currently. A few months ago the CEL threw a P0400 code. I got it checked and turned out there was a clog in the EGR. I got that fixed. No more light. Yay! Fast forward a few weeks later when it was time to get a smog test. The smog tech tells me that the EGR monitor is not compete and that I need to complete the drive cycle and drive it for a few more miles. I did what I was told. Brought it back a week or two after that... still NOT COMPLETE. The guy gives me same response. I do the same thing. OVER AND OVER. It has been 2 or so months of this crap and the EGR monitor is still not complete! All the other monitors are fine except that one. The vehicle runs fine. So what can possibly be preventing the EGR monitor from completing? Please help.

Sudden Acceleration
In April, my mother got into our Nissan Frontier, which was parked at a supermarket parking lot and ended up in a collision with 2 parked vehicles! Her story of events were that the car would not start initially and then when it did and she pressed on the accelerator, it leapt forward and would not stop - she is adamant that she was pressing on the brakes so hard to try and stop the car but the only thing that did eventually stop it was when it hit another parked car, which in turn hit one more parked car! The Frontier was a write off, the airbag had inflated, but luckily there were no serious injuries. When my husband was speaking with the policeman, he said he reckoned she had mistaken the brake for the gas pedal but she swears that the vehicle went off so quickly and really it all happened so fast she can't really recall but her foot was very bruised from apparently trying to press the brake pedal so hard. My question is, who is likely to be more correct, the policeman or my mother? This has become a slight elephant in the room and you can imagine the jokes my husband now tells that his mother-in-law wrote his vehicle off, but at the same time I really want to know what the real reason for this accident could have been and whether it actually could have been a sudden acceleration incident or whether that is not possible when one first drives off from a parked position? We really just want to solve this little mystery, not least to draw a line under the event and move on with things! Many thanks, Allyson
