Is it worth inheriting a '99 XJ8 with 83, 350 miles; well maintained; but the plastic tensioners have not been replaced. The rear damper bushings and struts need replaced. I have spoken with 2 service writers familiar with the cars. Both say "They are NOT good cars, require a lot of maintenance, plus this car has a lot of age on it regardless of the mileage.
After replacing battery, engine turned over but would not start. No fuel pressure. Checked fuel pump relays, not getting enough ground to engage. checked all ground point in trunk and ECU ground. Is this a security problem? Immobilizer? My manual does not show location of immobilizer. Help! Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks, Roy
tried to open hood and drivers side popped up but not passenger side. found cable off on passenger side. how can i get in to open hood when cable is off/broken at latch on passenger side. thank you
