1999 E150 when filling up tank gas comes out from top of tank. Does not leak any other time just when filling up. Could this be making the van run rough also. Got a code reading of P0442 could this leak be causing the code and engine run rough
cranks / no start. Older neighbor has let it sit due to no start. Replaced battery for him, no scan tool communication, checked and replaced a couple of fuses and removed aftermarket alarm , repaired wires at ign. switch, Now it communicates with no codes due to extended battery issue. Have spark, fuel, injector pulse. KOEO test revealed a fail with intake plenum actuator. repaired linkage rods and code for that has been corrected. Still no start. Should fueel pressure drop quickly from @ 40 psi.Perhaps bad fuel? Trying to help the ole man out as he is on a fixed income.
Having recurring problem with coolant bubbling and spewing coolant out of reservoir in my Ford E250. It does it when van is at normal temp and seems to only run hot when almost out of fluid. I read on here it could be several things from blown head gasket causing air in system, bad radiator cap (but this van doesn't have one, only a cap on res), or bad thermostat. Van runs rough when first started in morning. Don't know if that has any relation but timing matches up. Is there any thing else I could do to determine what it is before taking it to a mechanic? TIA
